David Dean Arrested for Stealing and Reselling $100K Worth of Merchandise

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – A 54-year-old Plantation man, David Dean, has been arrested for stealing more than $100,000 worth of merchandise from his employer, Express Radio, and reselling the items online.

Dean had been employed by Express Radio since March 2023, working at their Coral Springs location. During a recent internal audit, the company discovered several two-way radios and repeater systems were missing from their inventory. Upon further investigation, the missing equipment was found listed for sale on eBay.

Detectives traced the sales to Dean through his eBay account and PayPal transactions. The investigation revealed that Dean had deposited the proceeds from the sale of the stolen items into his bank account. In total, Dean is accused of stealing and reselling $107,901.52 worth of property.

According to the arrest report, Dean admitted to the theft and sale of the merchandise. He was arrested on April 3 at Express Radio and is now facing multiple felony charges, including grand theft over $100,000, fraud, and dealing in stolen property as part of an organized scheme.

Dean was booked into the Broward County Jail and is being held without bond.
