Darryl Wiley Arrested After Chase, Charged with Cocaine Trafficking

Mobile man with drug history now faces felony eluding and trafficking charges

Mobile, Ala. (WPMI) — The suspect involved in a recent police chase in Mobile has been arrested after being released from the hospital.

According to Mobile Police, Darryl Wiley, 41, was taken into custody on Monday, April 28, 2025, following a pursuit that began Thursday, April 24 near Dauphin Street and Catherine Street. Wiley had been hospitalized after the incident but was arrested upon release and transported to Metro Jail.

He is now charged with felony attempting to elude and trafficking cocaine.

Wiley is a repeat drug offender. In 2023, he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute and was sentenced to 15 years, with time served and 3 years of probation. He also has two previous convictions for possession of marijuana 1st degree in 2009 and 2010, receiving probation sentences in both cases.
