LONGVIEW, Texas – A 22-year-old man has been arrested following a robbery investigation involving several local dollar store thefts, according to the Longview Police Department.
Officers received multiple theft reports over the weekend from stores in the Longview area. After reviewing the incidents, authorities determined that only one case met the criteria for robbery.
Further investigation led officers to identify Daqalyn Charles, 22, of Longview, as the suspect. When another theft was reported, police located and arrested him shortly thereafter.
During the arrest, Charles was reportedly found in possession of illegal drugs, resulting in an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Charles was booked into the Gregg County Jail and is currently being held on a $310,000 bond.
