A $5,000 bond was set on Wednesday for Danielle Birmingham, 33, who faces charges related to possession of a vehicle reported stolen.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after prosecutors demonstrated probable cause to charge Birmingham with theft by receiving and resisting arrest. Birmingham was not present in court, as she refused to leave her jail cell for the hearing.

Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel presented the case based on an affidavit from Sheriff’s Investigator Lt. Dennis Kendall. Akel also noted that a criminal history check revealed Birmingham is currently enrolled in Drug Court in Washington County.

Birmingham is scheduled to return to court on August 6.
