Daniel Torres and Jose Reyna Charged in Brownsville Police Chase

Teens face multiple charges after leading police on a stolen vehicle chase

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two teenagers have been arrested and charged following a police chase involving a stolen vehicle in Brownsville.

The chase took place Thursday afternoon in downtown Brownsville, ending at the intersection of International Boulevard and East Madison Street. Daniel Torres, 18, has been charged with multiple offenses, including:

Aggravated assault against a public servant

Evading arrest

Resisting arrest

Two counts of theft of a motor vehicle

Torres’ bond has been set at $71,500.

Jose Antonio Reyna, 17, was charged with two counts of theft of a motor vehicle. During the investigation, Torres reportedly confessed to a second vehicle theft, leading to additional theft charges for both teens.

Reyna’s bond was set at $15,000.
