WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL — One man has been arrested and another is still being sought after authorities uncovered a copper wire theft near Lake of Egypt.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, investigators conducted surveillance on June 1 at a property near the intersection of Lake of Egypt and Power Plant Roads. During the stakeout, deputies photographed Daniel Shepard and Cody Bozarth leaving the scene with stolen copper wire.

Shepard was later arrested and now faces multiple charges, including theft. However, Bozarth remains at large. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
