A two-agency drug trafficking investigation led to the arrest of Daniel Lee Floyd in New Hanover County, North Carolina, on February 12, 2025. Floyd faces multiple felony charges after authorities seized large quantities of cocaine, marijuana, and firearms during a series of operations.
According to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, Vice & Narcotics Detectives conducted a vehicle stop on Floyd, which resulted in the seizure of 127 grams (4 ounces) of cocaine and a 9mm Glock handgun. The arrest was part of a larger investigation, and the Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Task Force later executed a search warrant at Floyd’s residence in Goldsboro.
During the search, authorities confiscated 56 grams (2 ounces) of cocaine, 2,558 grams (5 pounds, 7 ounces) of marijuana, and over $6,000 in cash. Floyd is facing multiple charges, including:
14 counts of trafficking cocaine
Possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine (PWISD)
Maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for drug activity
Other felony-related offenses
Floyd is currently being held at the New Hanover County Detention Facility on a $4.5 million secured bond. Authorities continue to investigate and expect additional charges as the operation progresses.
