GREENFIELD, N.Y. — A 46-year-old Greenfield man, Daniel L. Jones, has been arrested on drug charges after state parole officers discovered controlled substances while executing a parole warrant at his residence.
According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Jones has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree, a class D felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor.
The arrest took place on May 29, when state parole officers arrived at Jones’ home to serve a parole warrant. During the operation, officers allegedly found cocaine in Jones’ possession and discovered a container of crystal methamphetamine in the residence.
Authorities say Jones knowingly and unlawfully possessed the cocaine with intent to sell and also unlawfully possessed methamphetamine.
He was arraigned in Milton Town Court before Judge Timothy M. Brown and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail. Further legal proceedings are scheduled in Greenfield Town Court.
