Daniel Guerrero Arrested for Aggravated Assault in El Paso

Man threatened officer with machete after bike theft

Daniel Guerrero, 45, was arrested by the Socorro Police Department after allegedly threatening an officer with a machete following a bike theft in El Paso.

The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on March 20 near the 11400 block of Socorro Road. Officers were investigating a stolen bicycle and were informed that a man matching Guerrero’s description was last seen riding the stolen bike at 11831 Socorro Road.

When the officer approached, Guerrero armed himself with a machete and made threatening gestures. He was charged with:

Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a public servant
Criminal mischief
Theft

Guerrero was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a total bond of $12,500.
