Daniel Boyd and Emily Nenninger Arrested After Domestic Disturbance

Boyd Faces Multiple Charges, Nenninger Arrested for Narcotics

Pitt County, North Carolina — A domestic disturbance call early on January 3 led to the arrest of 34-year-old Daniel Presley Boyd and his girlfriend, 32-year-old Emily Lynn Nenninger. Authorities responded to a report of a man with a gun at a residence on Rams Horn Road around 12:32 a.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found Boyd attempting to leave the area. An investigation revealed that a crime had occurred, leading to Boyd’s arrest. A search of Boyd and his vehicle yielded narcotics.

Detectives from the Gang and Gun Crime Unit later arrived with a search warrant for a firearm. While searching, they identified Nenninger as Boyd’s girlfriend at the scene. Authorities seized a Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun, an extended magazine, and additional narcotics from the residence. Boyd, a convicted felon, was prohibited from possessing firearms due to his criminal history and an active domestic violence order.

Both Boyd and Nenninger were charged based on the findings. Boyd is being held on a secured bond of $601,000, while Nenninger was released on a $75,000 bond. The case is still under investigation, and additional charges may be filed.
