Damion Payne and Jonica Cateriano Charged in Round Lake ID Theft

Milwaukee Pair Faces Five Felony Counts in Fraud Case

ROUND LAKE, Ill. – Two Milwaukee residents were arrested and charged with multiple felony counts following an identity theft investigation in Round Lake.

Damion Payne, 30, and Jonica Cateriano, 55, face three counts of identity theft, one count of theft, and one count of obstruction of justice, police confirmed Thursday.

The investigation began after a fraud complaint was filed on Saturday regarding an unauthorized order for a replacement debit card linked to the victim’s bank account.

Round Lake detectives worked closely with a local bank and delivery service to track the package. Surveillance at the 1900 block of Greenleaf Court showed the delivery of the item.

Payne and Cateriano arrived shortly after and took the package from the porch. Authorities stopped their vehicle soon after and arrested both suspects.
