BATH, N.Y. (WETM) — Two Steuben County men have been arrested following a months-long investigation into a knife-point robbery that took place at a Bath residence in November 2024, according to the Bath Police Department.
Police responded to a home on West Steuben Street on November 2, 2024, after a victim reported being robbed of money at knifepoint earlier that morning. The incident was treated as isolated with no ongoing threat to the public.
After an extensive investigation, two suspects were identified, and the case was handed over to the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office for grand jury review. In September 2025, sealed indictment warrants were issued for both individuals.
Damian C. Vanvleck, 36, of Bath, was located and arrested on September 16. He faces charges including:
Robbery in the first degree (Class B felony)
Menacing in the second degree
Petit larceny
Vanvleck was processed in Steuben County Court and is currently held at Steuben County Jail with bail set at $5,000 per charge.
Nathaniel C. Tucker, 40, of Hornell, was arrested on September 22 and charged with:
Robbery in the first degree (Class B felony)
Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree (Class D felony)
Menacing in the second degree
Petit larceny
Tucker was also processed in Steuben County Court and held at Steuben County Jail with bail set at $30,000 per charge.
Authorities continue to urge anyone with additional information about the case to come forward.
