Dalip Kumar & Rahees Malik Arrested in Burari Temple Theft

Stolen idols recovered from local scrap dealer in Delhi

In a swift and effective operation, Delhi Police arrested two suspects connected to the theft of religious artifacts from the Mahakali Shiv Mandir in Burari, North Delhi. The accused, Dalip Kumar (38) and Rahees Malik (47), were found in possession of the stolen idols and brass items.

The theft was reported on July 27 by the temple priest, Kamal Shastri, who discovered the disappearance of several precious items after his morning prayers
Police analyzed CCTV footage from the temple premises, which helped identify the suspects. Following the leads, officers apprehended the duo, including a local scrap dealer, and successfully recovered the stolen artifacts.

Thanks to the quick response by Delhi Police, the sacred items have been restored to the temple.
