
JOHNSTON COUNTY, NC – A 30-year-old man from Fayetteville, Dakota Rae Brady, has been arrested in connection with a large-scale retail theft incident involving a Walgreens in Garner.
Authorities say the theft took place on June 15, 2025, at the Walgreens located at 12530 Cleveland Road. Brady is accused of stealing a significant amount of Prevagen, a memory supplement, valued at over $2,100.
Following the incident, Brady was taken into custody on June 26 and charged with felony larceny and felony organized retail theft. He is currently being held in the Johnston County Detention Center on a $50,000 secured bond.
Prevagen is marketed as a dietary supplement that may help improve memory in aging adults. Organized retail theft cases involving high-value health products have been increasing in frequency across the region.
