Cyrus Wade Arrested After Stolen Jeep Incident

Vehicle theft leads to police confrontation in London Line

by Sophia Bennett

On November 28, 2025, at 7:15 p.m., a white Jeep was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of London Road.

At 8:02 p.m., a patrol officer spotted the vehicle on London Line, east of Modeland Road. The Jeep had stopped at a business, and backup units were called. Before they could arrive, the vehicle resumed moving eastbound.

After passing Brigden Road, the Jeep pulled to the shoulder. The officer activated emergency lights and positioned his vehicle to block the Jeep. The suspect then accelerated, ramming the passenger side of the police vehicle and continuing forward into a grassy area, running over a mailbox before fleeing at high speed. For safety reasons, officers did not pursue.

Later that night, at 12:50 a.m., the Jeep was found abandoned in the 1700 block of London Line. A search revealed the suspect’s wallet and photo ID inside.

On November 29, police located and arrested 21-year-old Cyrus Wade, of no fixed address. He was held on bail for theft of a motor vehicle and breach of probation. The investigation into potential additional driving offenses is ongoing. Following his bail hearing, Wade was remanded into custody by the court.
