Cuttack RPF Arrests Four for Stealing Railway Property in Major Raid

Railway Materials Seized, Arrested Four Offenders in Cuttack

In a significant operation, the Cuttack unit of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested four individuals on charges of stealing valuable Railway property during a night raid. The operation was part of the ongoing efforts by the RPF to prevent criminal activities related to Railway materials and safeguard passengers.

The RPF team conducted a night check at various locations in Cuttack to ensure the safety of Railway properties. During the checking, they received information about some outsiders attempting to steal valuable items from the Railway store located near the OMP Fly Over Bridge Railway colony.

Following the tip-off, the RPF team swiftly carried out a raid and apprehended the suspects, recovering several stolen Railway materials. Upon questioning, the arrested individuals confessed to their involvement and admitted that they had entered the Railway store with the intention of stealing the recovered items.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Bholanath Rout (from Kaimati village, Dhenkanal, currently residing in Balisahi, Cuttack), Deepak Muduli (from Uttara Balakati, Khurda, now living in Gadu Mulia, Puri Ghat, Cuttack), Bhalu Das (from CDA-13 area, Cuttack), and Alekha Naik (from Kankinali, Angul district, currently residing in Gol Bazar, Cuttack).

A case under Section 3(a) of the Railway Properties (Unlawful Possession) Act has been registered against the accused. They have been produced before the court for further legal proceedings.
