McMinnville, TN – July 11, 2025 — Two men are in custody following a pair of drug-related arrests in Warren County after a coordinated crackdown by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the McMinnville City Police Department.
The operation began with the arrest of Curtis Michael Turner, a McMinnville resident, after officers received a tip about his alleged drug activity. A search warrant executed at Turner’s residence uncovered multiple controlled substances, including:
Methamphetamine
Fentanyl
Marijuana
Lorazepam (a prescription anti-anxiety medication)
Turner was arrested without incident and booked into the Warren County Jail, facing the following charges:
Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance
Simple Possession of a Controlled Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Later that day, officers tracked down Robert Gordon Johnson, a convicted sex offender from Rutherford County. He was reportedly en route to McMinnville to deliver a large quantity of fentanyl.
Authorities located Johnson’s vehicle and, upon searching it, found:
Fentanyl
LSD
Johnson was taken into custody and charged with:
Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance
Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
Simple Possession of a Controlled Substance
Violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act
Sheriff Jackie D. Matheny, Jr. praised the joint operation, saying,
“These arrests are a result of strong collaboration between local law enforcement agencies. We remain committed to holding accountable those who bring illegal substances into Warren County.”
Both suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
