Caretaker Creighton Cathey Arrested for Stealing Jewelry from Shreveport Couple
SHREVEPORT, La. — Police arrested 40-year-old Creighton Cathey after he was accused of stealing $10,000 worth of jewelry from a couple he was hired to care for.
The couple had employed Cathey as a caretaker but discontinued his services after moving to an assisted living facility. During a property check, the victim discovered several pieces of jewelry missing from a searched jewelry box.
Authorities issued a theft warrant for Cathey, who was later apprehended in Bossier Parish. The investigation remains ongoing.
