Courtney Adkins Arrested in Kinston for Drug Possession

Jacksonville woman caught with meth, Percocet, and marijuana at checkpoint

KINSTON, N.C. — A Jacksonville woman faces multiple drug charges after officers found narcotics during a traffic checkpoint on Highway 11.

Police say 36-year-old Courtney Adkins was stopped at the checkpoint when officers noticed signs of narcotics use. A search of her vehicle uncovered methamphetamine, Percocet pills, and marijuana.

Adkins was charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was booked into Lenoir County Jail and is held on a $7,500 bond.
