Couple Arrested for Murder of Brian Speaks in Suitland

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Authorities in Prince George’s County, Maryland, have announced the arrest of a couple connected to a deadly shooting that took place in Suitland in 2024.

28-year-old Marquis Anbaz and 30-year-old Francis Holmes Jr. were charged with the murder of 30-year-old Brian Speaks, who was shot and killed in the evening hours of November 15, 2024.

The shooting occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Parkway Terrace Drive, where police found Speaks inside an apartment building with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
