WYSOX, Pa. (WETM) – Corey D. Potter, 44, an inmate at the Bradford County Correctional Facility, has been sentenced to a term of 21 to 60 months in prison for charges of arson and resisting arrest.

Potter was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police in July 2023 after setting fire to his trailer at Jackson’s Trailer Park in Wysox Township, following several threats to do so. When police arrived, Potter resisted arrest so aggressively that officers were forced to use a Taser to subdue him and take him into custody. During the arrest, authorities found a torch and matches in his pocket.

In addition to his current sentence, which was extended due to a probation violation for a previous DUI conviction in 2017, Potter will serve at least 33 months, with the possibility of serving up to 84 months in state prison.
