Suspect Arrested for Fatal Shooting Near Strip Mall in Southwest Atlanta
ATLANTA, Ga. — Atlanta police arrested 24-year-old Corey Page on Friday in connection with a deadly shooting near a strip mall on Lakewood Avenue SW in the Sylvan Hills neighborhood.
Officers responded Friday evening to reports of a man shot on the 2800 block of Lakewood Avenue SW, close to Interstate 85. The victim, identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office as 52-year-old Henry Evans, was found with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.
Corey Page faces charges of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.
