CINCINNATI — Corey Clark, 39, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon after a SWAT standoff in North Avondale involving an aggravated robbery suspect and a stolen vehicle, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.
Officers tried to stop a vehicle driven by Clark, who was wanted on an aggravated robbery warrant. The vehicle, reported stolen, was pursued before Clark exited in the 3600 block of Victory Parkway and fled on foot into a nearby office building. After a brief standoff involving SWAT, police apprehended Clark without injuries.
Matthew Tallon, owner of Eagle Construction and Concrete, reported his truck stolen earlier at a Shell gas station in Fort Wright while he was fueling pressure washers for an outdoor deck project.
Police confirmed Clark had been involved in a high-speed chase on Tuesday after stealing another car, evading police across multiple districts. Earlier this month, Clark was sentenced to probation for driving while intoxicated, with a suspended license.
Following Thursday’s arrest, Clark faced an additional charge after officers discovered fentanyl concealed on his person.
The investigation into Clark’s actions remains ongoing.
