COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. — Two men have been arrested on drug-related charges following a community-driven investigation in the Sandy Place community of Tabor City.

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said that after receiving complaints from concerned citizens about suspected drug activity, investigators began undercover surveillance and operations at a local home. This effort provided enough evidence for law enforcement to secure and execute a search warrant.

Detectives and members of CCSO’s Heavy Enforcement Action Team (H.E.A.T.) conducted the search, seizing narcotics and other evidence that led to the arrests of Kavin Rudolph Jordan and Johnny Lee Green.

Jordan faces charges including:

Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Maintaining a Place for Keeping and Selling Illegal Controlled Substances

Possession of Marijuana

Green is charged with:

Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance

Jordan is being held at the Columbus County Detention Center on a $125,000 secured bond, while Green is held on a $1,500 secured bond.
