Coimbatore Police Arrest Two in Rs54 Lakh Robbery Case

Sumit Nagesh Salunke and Saneesh Govindan Salunke Arrested

On Wednesday, the Coimbatore District (Rural) Police arrested two individuals involved in the Rs54 lakh robbery that took place on November 8 near the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border. The robbery occurred at Velanthavalam, where the victim, a native of Palakkad, was targeted.

The arrested suspects, Sumit Nagesh Salunke (25) and Saneesh Govindan Salunke (35), both of whom hail from Maharashtra and are now settled in Palakkad, were detained by a special police team investigating the crime. The duo is said to have been part of a larger group of five who orchestrated the robbery.

Further investigations are ongoing as authorities work to apprehend the remaining suspects involved in this high-profile crime.
