Coimbatore Police Arrest Two in ₹54 Lakh Robbery Near Kerala Border

Two suspects arrested for robbing a Palakkad native of ₹54 lakh.

The Coimbatore District (Rural) Police made significant progress in a robbery case that occurred on November 8 at Velanthavalam, near the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border, with the arrest of two key suspects. Sumit Nagesh Salunke, 25, and Saneesh Govindan Salunke, 35, both residents of Maharashtra and settled in Palakkad, were apprehended by a special police team.

The suspects, along with three other accomplices, were involved in the robbery of Rs54 lakh from a Palakkad native during the daring daylight heist. The police are continuing their investigation to track down the remaining suspects and recover the stolen money.
