The Selvapuram police in Coimbatore have arrested Raja Ganesh (30) for allegedly cheating a city resident of Rs 4.25 lakh by offering to create an online betting profile for IPL cricket matches.

The arrest followed a complaint filed by S. Arjunan (35), a resident of Kallamedu, alleging that Ganesh had promised him a verified online account for placing IPL bets but never delivered it.

Raja Ganesh, a resident of Annai Indira Nagar, Chokkampudur, was apprehended by the police, and further investigation is ongoing to determine if there were other victims involved in the scam.
