Coimbatore Police Arrest Kerala Men in 1.25 kg Gold Highway Robbery

The Coimbatore District Police have arrested two men from Kerala in connection with a high-profile highway robbery near K.G. Chavadi. The accused, R. Vishnu (26) and J. Anshad (35), both residents of Alappuzha district in Kerala, were taken into custody on Sunday.

The duo allegedly carjacked and robbed a jeweller from Thrissur and his aide, stealing approximately 1.25 kilograms of gold. The incident had raised concerns over highway safety, prompting swift police action.

Investigations are ongoing as the police seek to uncover further details and possible accomplices involved in the robbery.
