The Coimbatore cybercrime police arrested N. Pradeev, a youth from Vattakadu, Sankarapalayam near Anthiyur in Erode district, for allegedly cheating a Coimbatore resident of over Rs4 lakh. Pradeev reportedly lured the victim into a fraudulent online investment scheme. The police crackdown came after a detailed investigation by the city’s cybercrime team, leading to his arrest on Friday.
