Coimbatore cybercrime police have arrested Sandev Tiwari, 34, from Purana Bazar, Sagar District in Madhya Pradesh, for allegedly cheating a local woman of Rs13 lakh through a courier scam.
The victim, a resident of Coimbatore, was defrauded after responding to a fraudulent courier transaction orchestrated by Tiwari. Upon investigation and complaint, cybercrime officials traced the scam to Tiwari and arrested him.
Police are continuing their probe to uncover further details and identify any accomplices. Authorities urge the public to stay vigilant against such cyber frauds.
