SAPULPA, Okla. — Former Sapulpa High School wrestling coach Cody Fuller is facing charges after being accused of inappropriately touching and sending explicit messages to a student. Fuller was arrested by Sapulpa Police following an investigation that began earlier this year.

Sapulpa Public Schools confirmed that Fuller coached wrestling at the school from August 2018 to February 2025, but never held a teaching position. His employment was terminated in February after the district learned of the allegations.

According to a police affidavit, Fuller allegedly inappropriately touched the student during team trips and inside a locker room. He reportedly used a Snapchat account under a fake name to send nude photos of himself to the student and took inappropriate pictures of her during school events, which he later showed her.

The affidavit also details that Fuller kissed the student on the lips, and eventually blocked her on Snapchat after his image circulated online and he was accused of misconduct. The student reported the incidents to police about two months later.

Investigators say they recovered over 90 photos and videos from Fuller’s hidden Snapchat account, with some of them being sexual in nature.

Sapulpa Police Captain Troy Foreman praised the student for speaking up. “Anytime we get a notification—whether it be from a student, parent, or school counselor—we’re going to take it very seriously,” he said.

The school district issued a statement encouraging vigilance:

“If you see something, say something. Students, staff, and parents should immediately report any suspicious activity or potential threats to a school administrator or use our anonymous reporting tool, Vector Alert.”

Fuller turned himself in and has since been released on bond. The investigation is ongoing.
