WOOD COUNTY, Texas — A Winnsboro High School coach has been arrested after allegedly failing to report a relationship between another staff member and a student, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.
On Monday, deputies arrested Jared Alan Lancaster at his home in Winnsboro without incident. Authorities say Lancaster was aware of an inappropriate relationship between a fellow coach and a student but did not notify law enforcement or school officials, as required by law.
Lancaster was booked into the Wood County Jail, where he remains held on a $10,000 bond.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected as more information comes to light.
