City police have seized drugs worth over Rs60.5 lakh and arrested seven individuals in four different cases involving drug peddling.
In a significant operation, the Konanakunte police acted on a tip-off and raided a gang sitting in a car in Doddakallasandra, allegedly attempting to peddle drugs. During the raid, they arrested Somashekhar (34) and Sundar (28), seizing 3.4 kg of hashish oil, 1.1 kg of ganja, and a car valued at Rs46.1 lakh. According to the police, the duo had procured their supply from a source in Odisha.
The arrests are part of a larger investigation into drug peddling activities in the city. The police continue to follow leads in search of additional suspects involved in the operation.
