RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — On April 16, 2025, deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hoover Hill Road in Trinity for a reported larceny and property damage incident.
Following an investigation, deputies identified Christopher Lee Edwards as the suspect. Charges were filed for:
Felony breaking and/or entering
Felony larceny after breaking/entering
Misdemeanor injury to personal property
A magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for his arrest.
On May 26, 2025, deputies responded to a second incident on US Highway 64 West in Asheboro, involving the larceny of motor fuel. After investigating, authorities again filed charges against Edwards for misdemeanor larceny of motor fuel, and another warrant was issued.
Later the same day, Edwards was located and taken into custody. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served with both sets of warrants. He was issued a total secured bond of $16,000, and a first court appearance was scheduled for May 27, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
