A Kinston man, Christopher Foye, 39, was arrested following a traffic stop on East Washington Avenue, according to the Kinston Police Department.
Police say officers observed signs of possible narcotics violations during the stop. A subsequent search reportedly uncovered crack cocaine, a small baggie containing cocaine, marijuana, and an open container of liquor.
During the investigation, authorities allege Foye provided his brother’s identifying information. Officers later confirmed his true identity and took him into custody.
Foye faces multiple charges, including:
Felony possession of cocaine
Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance
Identity theft
Simple possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
He was transported to the Lenoir County Jail and is being held without bond.
