Christopher Craig Andrews Arrested in $50K Equipment Theft

Authorities recover some stolen items; probe still ongoing

RIDGEWAY, S.C. — A man from Darlington County has been arrested in connection with the theft of more than $50,000 worth of equipment from a property near Ridgeway, according to the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office.

Christopher Craig Andrews, 41, of Society Hill, S.C., was taken into custody after an investigation into the April 15, 2025 theft. Deputies responded to a report of high-value items missing from a property located on U.S. Highway 21 North.

Investigators have since recovered several stolen items, though some property remains unaccounted for. Authorities are asking anyone who may have unknowingly purchased tools or equipment from Andrews to come forward.

The investigation remains active as deputies work to recover the remaining stolen property.
