JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – A Brockway woman charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing a handgun at her stepfather will remain in jail as her court proceedings continue.
Court records show that 46-year-old Christina Michelle Bundy had a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 12, which has now been continued to Wednesday, June 25 at 11:00 a.m., before Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana.
Bundy is facing the following charges:
Criminal attempt – murder of the first degree (Felony)
Aggravated assault with extreme indifference (Felony 1)
Simple assault (two counts – Misdemeanor 2)
Recklessly endangering another person (Misdemeanor 2)
She is currently being held without bail in Jefferson County Jail, due to the non-bailable nature of the top charge.
Incident Details:
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the Pennsylvania State Police in DuBois responded to a reported shooting on June 4 at a residence on Route 28 in Snyder Township.
Police say Bundy became enraged during an argument with her stepfather, accusing him of killing her parents and removing her from their will. The situation escalated when Bundy allegedly retrieved a handgun from the basement and fired multiple rounds in his direction.
Fortunately, the stepfather was not injured and was able to escape and call 911.
Troopers established a perimeter, and Bundy surrendered peacefully around 1:27 p.m.
During questioning, Bundy allegedly admitted to firing 3–4 rounds, claiming she was trying to “scare him.” Investigators later found damage to doors, broken glass, and a shell casing on the basement stairs.
Bundy remains in custody and will appear in court later this month.
