Christina Beaver Charged in NC Insurance Fraud Case

Falsely claimed accident involvement to get payout

LENOIR, N.C. – North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced on Thursday, May 22, the arrest of 51-year-old Christina Leigh Beaver of Hayes Place NW in Lenoir on felony charges related to insurance fraud.

Beaver is accused of filing a false claim with Peak Property and Casualty Insurance Company, asserting she was inside a green Kia Soul during an automobile accident. According to the NC Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, an investigation revealed that Beaver was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

As a result, Beaver faces one count of insurance fraud and one count of attempting to obtain property by false pretense. Both charges are classified as felonies.

The alleged fraudulent activity took place on March 14, 2025. Beaver was arrested by Lenoir Police on May 13 and booked into the Caldwell County Detention Center. She was issued a $50,000 pre-trial bond and appeared in Caldwell County District Court on May 14.

The case remains under investigation by state authorities.
