Chittorgarh Cop Rakesh Jat Arrested with 520g Opium

Constable Caught Smuggling Opium During Anti-Narcotics Drive

During a comprehensive anti-narcotics drive in Chittorgarh district, police arrested a serving constable found carrying 520 grams of illegal opium. The accused, Rakesh Jat, aged 25 and posted at Sikar Sadar police station, was intercepted near the Gangrar toll booth on the national highway.

Under the supervision of ASP Sarita Singh and Gangrar SHO Durga Prasad Dadhich, the team stopped a roadways bus for inspection. A transparent plastic bag containing the contraband was discovered in Jat’s luggage. He is a resident of Fatehpura village in Sikar district.

A case under the NDPS Act has been registered, and investigations are ongoing. Meanwhile, in a related operation, Nimbahera Sadar police seized 66.15 kg of opium from a truck and arrested the driver.
