Chillicothe Man Arrested for Stealing Forklift in Peoria

Dillon Howard, 30, charged after forklift theft at Peoria Civic Center

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — A Chillicothe man, Dillon Howard, 30, was arrested after allegedly stealing a forklift in Peoria on Monday, April 21.

The Peoria Police Department responded to a report of the theft at 12:25 p.m. at the Peoria Civic Center, located on Southwest Jefferson Avenue. Officers discovered that the forklift had been abandoned approximately half a mile away at Romeo B. Garrett Avenue.

Howard was identified as the suspect and was booked into the Peoria County Jail on charges of theft. He was later released on a notice to appear in court.
