Chelsea Cahoon Arrested in Pitt County for Identity Theft, Drugs

31-year-old charged with multiple offenses after using sister’s identity

Pitt County, N.C. (WITN) — 31-year-old Chelsea Cahoon was arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop in Pitt County on Tuesday. According to the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, Cahoon identified herself using her sister’s name during the stop.

Warrants show that Cahoon, who has an active wanted status for violating probation, attempted to flee the scene. During the search, deputies found heroin, marijuana, and fentanyl in her possession.

Cahoon now faces several charges, including felony probation violation, identity theft, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, resisting a public officer, and child support violations. She was taken to the Pitt County Jail and held on a total bond of $70,130.
