Chattanooga Woman Arrested for Shooting on Brainerd Road

Shamieka Hart faces assault and firearm charges after shooting

A 35-year-old woman from Chattanooga, Shamieka Anquanette Hart, has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that occurred near Brainerd Road late last month. Hart is facing multiple charges after police say she shot a man on February 28.

The incident took place just after 8:30 p.m. when officers responded to a call about a person being shot at the 3900 block of Manor Road, located off Brainerd Road. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a 27-year-old man who had been shot. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Hart was arrested on Thursday and is now charged with aggravated assault, felony reckless endangerment, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

As of the latest reports, authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
