CHATTANOOGA, TN – Chattanooga Police Officer JaMaael Noble has been arrested and charged with domestic assault, leading to his placement on administrative leave pending further investigation.
Incident Details
Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a domestic assault report at 1:50 a.m. on March 24, 2025, at a residence near the 3900 block of Weathervane Loop.
Authorities say the incident began as a verbal argument before Noble allegedly struck the victim and smashed their phone.
After the altercation, Noble reportedly fled the scene in his city-issued patrol vehicle.
Arrest & Investigation
HCSO investigators later located Noble in a business parking lot on East Brainerd Road, where he was taken into custody without incident.
🔹 He was booked into the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.
Following his arrest, the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) confiscated his patrol vehicle and department-issued gear.
CPD has confirmed that Noble will be placed on administrative leave upon release from custody.
An internal investigation has been launched as the case remains under review.
