LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ill. — Eduardo Pozos Jr., 38, was arrested on February 25 following a police investigation that resulted in felony charges for criminal sexual assault and drug offenses.
Chatsworth Police Chief Matt Cavanagh reported that officers executed a search warrant near the intersection of N. 3rd and E. Maple Streets at approximately 1:30 p.m. as part of the investigation. Pozos was taken into custody and transported to the Livingston County Jail, where he remains detained pending trial.
Charges
Pozos faces the following charges:
Six counts of criminal sexual assault of a victim aged 13–17
One count of manufacturing/delivering 1–15 grams of cocaine
Two counts of possession of a controlled substance
The investigation involved coordination between the Fairbury Police Department, Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, Livingston County State’s Attorney’s Office, Livingston County Children’s Advocacy Center, and VCOM.
Authorities say the case remains active as preparations for trial continue.
