Chatiwind police have arrested two alleged drug traffickers and recovered 30 grams of heroin along with Rs 4,400 in cash during routine patrolling.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Gurvinder Singh alias Mota and Sarwan Singh alias Samaa, both residents of Sero village under Sarhali police station in Tarn Taran district.
Acting under the guidance of Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav and Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar Rural, Suhail Mir Qasim, and under the supervision of DSP Attari Yadvinder Singh, a Chatiwind police team was conducting routine checks of suspicious persons on January 11 when the arrests were made.
Further investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of the accused’s drug network and other potential accomplices involved in trafficking.
