Charles Smith Jr. Arrested After Meth Found in Traffic Stop

Gluckstadt police discover meth during I-55 traffic stop

GLUCKSTADT, Miss. (WLBT) — A routine traffic stop on Interstate 55 led to a significant drug arrest after officers with the Gluckstadt Police Department found several bags of suspected methamphetamine inside a vehicle.

On September 18, officers pulled over a red Dodge Avenger for careless driving. The driver, identified as Charles Smith Jr., was taken into custody at the scene.

Following the discovery of the suspected drugs, Smith was transported to the Madison County Detention Center. He currently faces charges of careless driving and aggravated trafficking of a controlled substance.
