An Axton man, Charles Junior McMillan, was arrested after a traffic stop on Monday led to the seizure of drugs, cash, a firearm, and scales. Deputies from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Drug Interdiction Unit stopped McMillan’s 2007 Jeep Cherokee. During the stop, a K-9 unit alerted officers to possible narcotics in the vehicle.
McMillan, who was on probation for previous narcotics and firearm possession convictions, was identified as the driver. Deputies discovered over two ounces of suspected methamphetamine, suspected heroin, a 9mm handgun, digital scales, and approximately $1,616 in cash. The vehicle was also seized during the investigation.
McMillan now faces multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, possession of a firearm while in possession of Schedule I/II drugs, possession of a firearm by a felon, and driving with a revoked license. He was taken to the Henry County Adult Detention Center.
