A Prattsburgh resident has been arrested in connection with a recent burglary and vehicle theft in Yates County.

Charles H. Graner IV, 37, was taken into custody on the morning of April 21 around 11:30 a.m. by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office. He was located along State Route 54A, just outside the village of Penn Yan. Investigators say Graner matched the description of a suspect in a burglary and stolen vehicle incident that occurred the previous night in the Town of Jerusalem.

After a short on-site interview, authorities confirmed Graner’s identity and placed him under arrest. He was then transported to the Yates County Jail for arraignment.

Graner is facing several charges, including felony counts of third-degree burglary, grand larceny in the third and fourth degrees, and third-degree criminal mischief. He also faces a misdemeanor charge for resisting arrest.

As of now, Graner remains in custody as legal proceedings continue in Yates County Court.
