Chandigarh: As part of its ongoing crackdown on motor vehicle theft, Chandigarh Police have arrested a 33-year-old man, Sahil, son of Aman Pathak, in connection with a two-wheeler theft case and successfully recovered the stolen scooter.
The arrest was made by a team from Sector 49 police station following an e-FIR dated December 2, 2023, filed after Baljit Singh of Sector 48 reported that his scooter had been stolen outside a house in Sector 63 on March 14, 2023.
Authorities traced the accused, who is educated up to Class XII and employed in a private job. Sahil has no prior criminal record and has been remanded in judicial custody. The recovered scooter has been returned to the rightful owner.
This case highlights Chandigarh Police’s continued efforts to combat vehicle theft and ensure swift recovery of stolen property.
