Champua Police Arrest Six in Cross-State Burglary Gang Bust

Gang involved in burglaries across Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar caught swiftly

Keonjhar: In a swift and decisive move, Champua Police in Keonjhar district cracked a house burglary case within 24 hours of registration, leading to the arrest of six individuals belonging to an inter-district burglary gang operating across Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar.

The accused have been identified as Bhabani Sabar, Bhaskar Sabar, and Anil Sabar from Sambalpur; Sima Sabar from Mayurbhanj; Sankar Sabar from Ranchi, Jharkhand; and Chalma Sabar from Gaya, Bihar.

Police sources said that upon receiving the complaint, dedicated teams were formed for intensive investigation and fieldwork. The rapid police action led to the capture of all six suspects and full recovery of stolen items.

The gang had been involved in multiple burglaries and was already on the radar of law enforcement agencies across states. Their arrest is a significant step towards curbing cross-border criminal activities in the region.

Champua Police have been lauded for their efficient handling of the case, which not only ensured property recovery but also helped dismantle part of a larger criminal network.
